Specifications
Construction:
Die formed 20 gauge steel for maximum rigidity and durability. Heavy gauge end-plates, tamper-proof screws and hi-impact diffusers. Double-riveted endplate construction ensures solid construction with perfect alignment. Custom factory cutouts in the body are provided for the ultra-sonic sensor and optional battery backup indicator. Non-vandal resistant body option available - see the 575 Sensor Series.
Finish:
All surfaces are baked white enamel for maximum reflectance and durability. Other finishes available, minimum quantities required.
Diffuser:
One piece, unbreakable 100% virgin prismatic acrylic, easily removable for re-lamping. Diffuser provides a linear refractive pattern for even illumination.
Ballast:
The 580 VP Bi-Level sensor fixture uses dimmable ballasts that dim to a specified minimum, so that the fixture normally operates at a low standby light level that offers safety and security. Upon detecting occupancy in the room, the ballast is switched by the sensor to operate at full output, after which it switches the ballast back to its specified dimming minimum. Depending on the configuration of the ballast used, this fixture can be customized to operate a minimum illumination of either 10%, 20% or 30% when unoccupied, then switches to 100% when the room becomes occupied. The bi-level feature of this fixture makes areas fully lit only when occupied, conserving both electricity and bulb life.. 120 volts standard. Several ballast configurations available. Also available as a on/off occupancy sensor fixture.
Sensor:
The 580 VP Bi-Level sensor fixture uses an ultra-sonic sensor custom cut into the steel body of the fixture. Ideal for stairwells and corridors where maximum light isn't always necessary, the ultra-sonic sensor sees up to 28' away and uses stereo-scope technology to sense an occupant moving into the space from around corners and hidden places. Upon occupancy detection the fixture increases illumination from its dimming minimum (10%, 20%, or 30%) to 100% maximum lumen output. The timer-delay user settings range from 5 mins. to 1 hour and is customized at the factory to switch between 10%, 20% or 30% minimums to 100% of maximum lumens whenever occupancy is detected.
Mounting:
This fixture can be wall or surface mounted. Ample knockouts are provided for convienent mounting with recessed or surface power feeds. May be mounted individually or in continuous rows.
Approvals:
All fixtures are Union-Made and bear IBEW and UL labels. In accordance with the New York City Department of Buildings calendar #4525. |
